5 Major issues with iPhone 5

Let’s face it – nobody’s perfect, not even the new iOS 6 mobile operating system from Apple that was launched on September 21, 2012. Although there’s a lot to love about this new iOS, it also comes with some flaws. Some of these flaws are well known by now, while there are some others that are not rated as an epic flaw.

For example – Apple’s new Maps app, that replaced the existing Google Maps app, has been criticized widely since the upgrade was made available. But that’s not the only flaw you can find in the all new iOS. There are a few other things that you need to know about. These include – inconsistent fonts and colors, calendar alerts and a redesigned App Store. Want to know about it all? Read on -

1. Confined App Store

Some will say that the Apple App Store’s makeover is easy and attractive to the eyes, there are some not so attractive facts about it. For example; search results are limited to just one at a time via the iPhone, so you need to spend time scrolling for more. Theoretically, it’s good to emphasize quality over quantity, but this time, it did not quite hit it. Apart from that, the layout is a bit restricted.

2. Maps Apps

May be we have nothing new to add to this one – Apple’s new Maps app has been the most discussed (with much dissatisfaction) new feature on iOS 6 so far. The app lacks transit directions and according to the users, the mapping imagery includes a perplexing cluster of broken roads, misleading clouds and national monuments. Now, that’s the most epic flaw this OS has.

3. YouTube App

OK, the Google Maps app is missing from iOS 6, but what else is missing? The Google-owned YouTube app is gone too, haven’t you noticed? The good news is, unlike Google Maps, a new improved version is downloadable via the Apple App Store.

4. Too Much Facebook

Apple opened up social integration to Facebook, which means users will get to share pictures and post status updates without logging into the app. It also merges your Facebook contacts and calendar automatically. However, it’s possible to turn off the default function.

5. Inconsistent Fonts

The ‘Find My iPhone’ feature includes a font the users haven’t seen on iOS before, and it’s unpredictability with the rest of the software has confused many. It’s not a very big issue with the phone, but then again it’s iPhone 5 we are talking about – and we’ll settle for nothing less.
These are some of the flaws that you can find in an iPhone 5. But that did not let the popularity of this new Smartphone from Apple drop. The phone has been one of the most popular phones in the history of Smartphones. We sincerely hope that most of these problems will be sorted out in the next version of iPhone. As for the map app, we have good news for you – Google is reportedly making a map app for the iOS 6 and it will be available in the app store pretty soon. Epic problem – resolved.
