How does it score?
Performance:
The GT2 falls behind the GeForce, but so does every other card on the market. It performs well enough to still be a good solution for a gamer looking for speed on a budget. The GT2 has a full set of features, which some other cards lack in this price range, most notably 32-bit color. Again, 60+fps in Quake3 is an indication of the speed this card is capable of. Coupled with a faster processor, that number will only go up.
Quality:
It’s a video card that meets the same standards as the famous Abit motherboards. It comes with an excellent manual, a good gaming bundle, fan/heatsink, a cool box, and solid drivers. Exactly what you would expect from a company like Abit.
Innovation:
Abit came into the market a little late with the GT2. The thing that sets this card apart from the dozens of others is the total package. While not entirely innovative, it is different in its presentation.
Price:
The GT2 Ultra sells for about $147 on Pricewatch (as of 1 April 2000), which is well below the price of the GeForce Siluro card, which sells for $217. Paired with a fast CPU, the TNT2 is an able performer at a good price.
