All In One Update Site

Posted Feb 19, 2008 by Jason Faulkner

I wrote a while ago about a site called Secunia Software Inspector with scans your PC for software with known flaws. Along the same lines, another site you might want to consider adding to your arsenal of update sites is The Software Patch.

The Software Patch is a virtual all-in-one update site which keeps you informed of Windows updates as well as common drivers and a slew of other applications, such as Flash, QuickTime, Nero, etc. From what I can find, there is no automatic scan and update rather the site simply posts the updates that are available and gives you a link to the vendor’s site to download it. This is a great way to make sure only the updates you want to install are actually installed.
