An Easier Way To Disable Vista’s UAC Notifications

Posted Dec 27, 2007 by Force Flow

In follow-up to an earlier post regarding disabling the Vista UAC confirmations, here is an easier way to disable the dialog:

  1. Press the Windows Key + R and type “msconfig” (without the quotes) into the run dialog that pops up.
  2. Click on the “Tools” tab and scroll down and click once on the “Disable UAC” option.
  3. Click the “Launch” button.
  4. Close the CMD window that pops up and close msconfig
  5. Save your work and then reboot.

If you want UAC re-enabled, simply follow these same steps, but select “Enable UAC” instead.

I agree with your comments on the music services. I have subscribed to all the above and a few more. I like Yahoo Music the best. Of course I liked Music Match better, but so it goes. I keep iTunes as well.
