One of the criticisms of Microsoft has been that over the years their Windows OS has attempted to be everything for everybody which contributed to a serious amount of bloat in the OS. Attempting to combat this problem, Microsoft has released their Live Essentials package as a separate package which is freely downloaded from either Microsoft.com or Windows Update. If you have never looked at these applications, here is a great article which gives you a look at each.
This really is a pretty nice application suite which covers a lot of what the “internet and email” users would want to do. For those of you already utilize the Live Essentials package, the article discusses some of the changes which are/will be available in the next release.
