Antec Skeleton PC Case Is Just Plain Weird

You want fans? WE GOT FANS, including a big honkin’ one atop the chassis that doesn’t look dissimilar to the same kind used in outdoor air conditioning units. One wonders how much of a racket that monstrosity will make when the bearings start to fail.

No, it’s not for sale yet but should be soon.

I won’t be on the waiting list to buy one.

I think that it’s good looking. Think about how generic cases have gotten over the decades. At least this one is taking it in a different direction. I am going to build a PC soon, and I do believe I’ll buy one.

I’m with Randy. If this case doesn’t end up sucking, I might spring for it or one similar (if there are any by the time I need a new case). But yes, it does look crazy. I like crazy.

Personally, I think it looks kind of cool, though at first glance it does look like it has a large foot print.

I’m not sure if this is what they were going for or not, but I think the true strength of this case is as a test and prototyping platform, since it looks like it will be really easy to get parts in and out.

I wonder how much it will cost? I could see getting one for prototyping systems if it’s not too expensive.

It will get dusty, but I can see it used as wall art or a radiator for the winter time.

    Wall Art!

    Efficient Heat Release!

    Wireless a Must!

One thing is does the big honkin’ fan come off, your average extreme overclocking arsenal has to be liquid cooling. Or for the more hardcore, liquid nitrogen.

That’s actually a really good point. Hopefully with the open-air nature of the case you can add in whatever you need to without that top fan getting in the way.

  6. Kyle says:

OMG that is such a freaking AWESOME CASE!!! I’d convert it to a liquid cooled case and make the fans spin at an ultra low speed with LED’s. DAMN why couldn’t they make it sooner???

  7. Carlton says:

woah that looks freaking awesome, im totaly geting one if they are not to expencive

I think the thing is awesome. I’ve always wanted a way to build an open PC and hang it on the wall over my desk with all of the different components set apart on something like a big plaque. This thing is similar to HighSpeedPC’s HSPC Tech Station shown here…
