The Ipad shortages continue.
I called up the two retail stores in our area (Tampa Bay) and even the people who work there have no earthly idea what’s going on with the Ipad. I have yet to see any mention from Apple itself on why this shortage is taking place and when to expect some supply. All the while, Apple.com continues to feature the device, saying it is available.
Yeah, not really.
While I continue to hold that this is not a marketing ploy by Apple, it is also very clear that Apple has colossally mismanaged this launch. It isn’t in Apple’s nature to publicly admit to anything but sweetness and light. They’ll continue to say how high the demand is, but you see nothing to respond to all those people who’ve been trying to buy one and can’t.
The shortages can definitely help their marketing, however the longer they keep ignoring this supply issue publicly, the more likely it may backfire.
