A technology enthusiast and writer, Angela Stevens has recently joined the PCMech.com team. She is currently attaining her Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems through Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL. However, Angela has been working with computers and technology almost her entire life. At the young age of just eight years old, she began playing with her parent’s computer – an 8088. By the age of 10, she had learned to program in BASIC and knew all the inner workings of DOS. She read every computing magazine and book she came across. In the meantime, she was also refining her writing skills and wrote her first book around this same time – Dino the Dinosaur. It never saw fruition, but it was a stepping stone in her life as a future writer.
Today, besides finishing her degree, Angela also works in a local computer repair store as a technician. She also handles all of the eBay and Craigslist listings for the store. . Her husband is the Operations Manager where she works and they work side by side repairing computers and cleaning up viruses and malware.
As if that wasn’t enough, she also has four young children – one of which aspires to be a video game programmer and the other three which are younger but also fluent with computers and technology.
In essence, Angela has decided to combine her two life-long passions for us at PCMech. I think it’s clear we can expect great things from her.
