Have you ever wanted to learn to count in binary or octal? Probably not, but if you ever have the need to convert one number to a different base, then check out this online number base converter.

Usage is very self explanatory. Here are some common bases with respect to computer usage:

  • Binary = Base 2
  • Octal = Base 8
  • Decimal = Base 10
  • Hexadecimal (Hex) = Base 16

Which Of These Traits Applies To YOUR Computing Life?...

HELLOOOO!!!!! Never even bothered to look at the good old calculator that comes with Windows? It does these conversions and doesn’t even need an Internet connection. LOL Must enable the scientific view to get this functionality.

Forgot to say that the Windows calculartor allows you to make calculations (DUH!!!) in binary, octal and hex as well.

  3. Luis, I am aware the Windows calculator does this. The online tool allows you to work any base up to 32 which the calculator does not.

Well the article didn’t mention base 32 and the ones it did mention are the same the Windows calculator handles.
