What’s on the market!  Microsoft usually keeps in step with the writers and write patches and security updates. From the moment that OS is installed the first priority should be to get the critical security updates from the Microsoft website. After that one must keep up with the news and check often for updates.

Anti-Pop-up utilities are also a very useful as preventative software, pop-ups often contain spyware and are highly annoying.
