Whenever you have to perform repetitive tasks on a regular basis, a good thing to consider is automating the task via macros. For tasks you perform in your browser, take a look at the iMacros add-on for Firefox.
iMacros was designed to automate the most repetitious tasks on the web. If there’s an activity you have to do repeatedly, just record it in iMacros. The next time you need to do it, the entire macro will run at the click of a button! With iMacros, you can quickly and easily fill out web forms, remember passwords, create a webmail notifier, download information from other sites, scrape the Web (get data from multiple sites), and more.
If you can’t think of any scenarios where this may be useful, the site lists some very practical tasks browser macros can be used for. I can really see this being useful in development and testing scenarios for web applications.
Are there any immediate uses you can see for this add-on ?

Are there any security issues to using macros in Firefox? I know they can be corrupted in MS Office products.
iMacros are most useful for repetitive tasks such as filling lots and lots of forms.
For example if you want to enter 70 city-names and have to submit a form for each one. Using a CSV and iMacros makes that an easy task ^^
