If you like to install your files on a specific drive or partition other than the default “Program Files” directory, this tip may be just the thing for you. To change the directory, do as follows:

.) Go to “StartRun” and enter “Regedit” in the prompt. Hit enter.
.) Navigate to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion”.
.) Double click on the “ProgramFilesDir” value in the right window.
.) Change the value to the directory you want to be the default installation folder. Hit enter.
.) Reboot the computer for the setting to take effect.
