Change Your Throbber

OK, is that subject line a bit of a mystery to you? I thought so. Let me explain. Throbbers are the little animations that play in the upper right corners of Internet Explorer and Netscape when you are waiting for webpages to load up. In IE and Netscape, you basically get the big “E” or the Netscape “N” with little animations happening around it. How boring. Well, you can change it and point it to any animation you wish.

ThrobIt is a program that allows you to change the animation. Currently at version 1.4, this program does the work for Microsoft Internet Explorer (all versions) and for Netscape Navigator (versions 3 and 4). Go to www.geocities.com/RedPlanetSoft/index.html?throbit/throbit.html for more information. The program is free and will help you set up your own throbber.
