Check If Your Website Has Been Hijacked

If you use a popular web platform as WordPress, phpBB, etc, while these systems are updated frequently, their popularity makes them an ideal target for attacks. While keeping your site updated and as locked down as possible is your best bet to protect yourself, exploiters are seemingly always one step ahead of developers when it comes to security. That said, if you suspect your site (or another site) has been hijacked, a tool you can use is Unmask Parasites.

Q: What is this site for?
A: Unmask Parasites is a simple online web site security service that helps reveal _hidden_illicit content (parasites) that hackers insert into benign web pages using various security holes.

Simply type an address to the box and Unmask Parasites checks the URL for hidden malicious links which, most likely, indicates the site has been hijacked via an exploit. Of course, this is not definitive but it is very easy to use tool which only takes a couple of seconds to run.
