Collapse Quoted Text In Thunderbird

Posted Jun 14, 2009 by Jason Faulkner

If you are a Thunderbird user and deal with a lot of emails and newsgroup posts which have quoted text, an extension you might want to look at is Quote Collapse.

It automatically collapses all quotes, and expands them again on a click. Hold down SHIFT while clicking, and all quotes contained in the current one will be collapsed/expanded. Hold down CTRL, and all quotes of the same nesting level will be toggled.

Collapsing embedded quotes is a good way to get to the point of the message without having to re-read information.
