Command Line Reference

Posted Mar 27, 2007 by Jason Faulkner

For you system administrators, or other junkies of the command line, a page you need to bookmark is SS64.com. This site offers a comprehensive command line reference for the following:

  • Windows (including most common tools)
  • BASH (*nix)
  • Oracle
  • SQL 2005

Yes you can view the same information this web page provides through the command prompt’s built in documentation, however the beauty of using SS64 is you can search commands based on a generic description in case you do not know the keyword. Additionally, the information is presented in a much cleaner format as you do not have to scroll through the command line’s interface.

Again, this is definitely worth a look.
