Computer Case Giveaway

We are going to begin doing giveaways here on PCMech.com. And first things first, I’m going to start unloading some of the hardware I have stocked up around here.

So, here are the requirements to enter our contest giveaway:

  1. You must be subscribed to our weekly newsletter list. You can subscribe from our newsletters page or via the form to the right. The winner will be announced via this mailing list.
  2. You must post at least one of the following: (1) a comment on this post, or (2) a comment on this video on Youtube.com, or (3) a video response on this video on Youtube. Your entry must answer the following question:

“Why Do You Want To Win This Giveaway?”

I will take each of the answers to this question and choose the one I like best. So, be creative and let’s have some fun with it.

You can view more details on the prize by visiting the Nzxt Tempest product page.

I will announce the winner in two weeks. More specifically, on October 1st, 2008. I will cover shipping expenses to ship this case to you, so it is indeed a giveaway.

May the best geek win!

Well, why wouldn’t I want this case? It looks solid, appears to have great airflow, and looks pretty cool. And did I notice one of those top front ports as esata, just cool. It looks like it would be fun to build a new system in, and I’m always looking for improvements, better products to better my systems. And I’m always working on building a newer system.

So I guess, the simplest way to say this is….
I really really really like the way this case looks and such.

I once went to this strange land called Hitsabotaquanzakalack. The Hitsabotaquanzacalackians asked me if I’d ever been to the carribeans, and unfortunately had to tell them no. They asked me as well some things about my future. I told them I was an aspiring artist and would LOVE to make a best selling romance novel for my first piece of art. They then asked if I would write them a story, but I said I hadn’t the time, and had been suffering from a serious case of writers block and Acute Depression. They didn’t believe me and made me write an essay on the nearest tree in town. I wrote them an essay describing how trees saved lives by taking co2 in the air and turned it into straight oxygen. They got mad at me for damaging that tree. After the trial and banashing, i had to swim from that land to the local tanning salon and asked for the owner to give me a free tan. He did, but then I realized it was all a dream and woke up, Saw my POS (and no, that does NOT mean point of sale) system that I thought at first i was doomed for eternity to deal with, logged on (that in itself was a miracle, taking a very quick half hour to start up) and checked my email (running microsoft outlook express, that program itself didn’t load for another 15 minutes), saw this awesome message from PCMech (after waiting 10 minutes for firefox to start and another 3 minutes for the page to load) and instantaneously knew that my next case would be that one.

    :)

This case would be a welcome addition to my slowly increasing hardware collection to build my first computer.

  • Craig

I’d like to win the case because

    a) It would be free
    b) it looks like a great case, lots of cooling, removable drive bays, etc.
    c) I need to build new PC for my son.

I really enjoy all information from all your newsletters they have helped me tremendously and the gifts are an added incentive to participate in reading your newsletter not that I need one, thanks. Benjamin Munoz

this is nice and for me it would be a blessing sence I learned to build them from your information a long time ago. I am retired now so I repair and re build for others for free and have let mine go to the pot(so to speak). you have many others that probly need as much as I do. Have fun . john

Well I hope I can win this case. I’m trying to build my first PC and this case would help in my spending budget. Looks like a nice case. Like I said would help me a lot. I don’t have major money to spend on parts for a computer like some people do and this case will help a lot.

    Thanks

  • cme

I think this case would be great for my 1st computer build.

  • http://www.hurleygen.com Cindy

This is absolutely the coolest case I have ever seen. I’d love to win this so I can build a gaming and graphics machine that will be expandable and actually handle high-power graphic engines for more than a few months before it becomes obsolete.

  • Eldwin Brock

I am a 75 year old intermediate computer user on a fixed income (Soc. Sec) and could not otherwise purchase this case which would solve overheating and slot restrictions,Would greatly appreciate wining this case.
    Thanks

I would love to win this case, buy all the guts, then give to my young at heart and soul 75 year old dad. My dad is so cheap that he’s still using an old 500 mhz PC w/Win98 that I once gave him and refuses to spend one penny on upgrading. He’s even still got a free Netzero account and asks to use a screen name on my AOL account when his 10 hours on Netzero are up. And, he’s still got dialup. Although he’s gotten pretty good on the computer, there’s a ton of stuff he wants to do but is limited by the OS and memory requirements. I haven’t been able to talk him into even spending $200 and buying a few year old laptop from ebay!

So, what I’d love to do for him, so he can experience PC computer perfection in his elder years of existence on this earth, is WIN this case, buy the guts for him, and together (daddy and daughter) we can build the best computer possible. I don’t get much time to spend doing things together with my dad…never did, so this would be such a great moment for us…he is a retired engineer and has a knack for tinkering…fixes tv’s, vcr’s, phones, anything old so as not to spend money on buying new stuff…he even fixes things for others in the community where he lives…and is paid w/dinner out!…he’s not poor, just cheap. Please, please, Dave, let me for once in my life WIN something, and PAY IT FORWARD to my cheap dad!

David… (my name too). I have been building and rebuilding computers for friends and others who really can’t afford to lay out cash for something new.. I’ve begged, borrowed and purchased all kinds of used parts to this end. I’ve done home mods and upgrades and built from ground level up. I use your site for tips and tricks to accomplish this with great success. I enjoy the newsletter and read it regularly.
I need this case because I want sometrhing for MYSELF finally. The case looks superb and blue lighting is my favorite computer color! Keep up the great site!

  • Bilinda Munro

i know i’m just a wanna be geek, but i really would like to have some up dated stuff to learn to build / repair computers with instead of the over 10 year stuff i have now, and as for the creative thing, best i can do it Please can I have it? :-)

  • Drew

I think it’s hilarious that as soon as someone has the slightest chance of winning something, they will come out of the lurking shadows to make a comment.
I like to try and make comments whenever I can on posts here, as does Sharron and a few others. Mainly, b/c it’s a good way to get other points of view on various topics.
It’s a shame all these lurkers have now come out of the woodworks just to try and win something when they most likely won’t comment again.
With regards the case – it looks like a great solid design and congratulations to the winner. I’m not posting a comment just to try and win something – mainly just to raise my POV.
Although, I could easily drive to your house to pick it up Dave (seeing as though you’re only about 30 mins away) so you’d save shipping there! :-) j/k

My wife is home schooling three of our four kids and it would be nice to have a case to build another pc for setting up a wireless network. We have one pc but sometimes it is a little bit crowded with everyone wanting to use it. It would be great for helping expand my kids education. It would also be a good project and learning experience for my almost 9 year old son to help me build a pc. I love building pc’s and would like to get him into it as well. He’s a smart kid just like his dad.

  • Kohler Nicklaus

That is one nice looking case!
It would be really nice for my first build.
I have both your book and video ” How to build your own PC”.
I would love to put them to use with this case!

“Why Do You Want To Win This Giveaway?”

I would extremely loved to win that gorgeous computer case. The one have right now has seen alot better days. It is a true warrior taking multipul hits from moving and other things like my foot. PC games can be frustrating after one dies several time’s. It was my sisters computer case since I got involved with computers which was 2001. So, even though my orginal case has stand against the trail’s of time and temperments. I am sad say that it is time for myself to move onward into the next generation computer case’s.

Thank You PCMech for doing this Giveaway for us.

  • http://justinstrack.com Justin

I would like this case. Just posting to enter the giveaway.

  • kevin

i would realy like the case. I know i’m not going to win but you never know sometimes people get luckey. But if I do win some how i will use it on my computer.

  • loaderboy

I would like to win this case because all of my builds have been done using “road kill” or Salvation Army parts. (you’d be suprised what people leave at the curb or donate. This would be a good start toward building a NEW computer.

BTW does this come with an anchor? I’m concerned about all the fans.

  • Anthony M. Rocco

The case definitely looks interesting. My reasons for winning it are simple. I want it. Also since my main system is now slow, due primarily because of Vista, I will need to start over. A quad core will slip in this case just right. Anyway, when in doubt, sent me the free stuff.
PS, I also share stuff with the A+ tech students that I teach.

  • Ray Mulford

I would like to win the case because it would go good with the Saitek keyboard that I won.

  • shw627

What a great looking tower. It would be great for my 1st build. I am trying very much to get in touch with my inner true geek self. I truely believe that winning this tower would just open up the geek flood gates. And as I get closer and closer to my inner geek I would be a full report as to the progress of this project to it’s completion!

    Have a super geek day!

  • http://NoneYet Linda Angel

I would like to win this case so I can build one from scratch. I have always rebuild one from old parts and gave them away to home bound people.
