If you are a Google Chrome user and find that you only need the most basic of PDF viewing capabilities, then why not use the built in PDF reader capabilities of the browser as your default viewer? One thing to keep in mind here is, at the time of this writing, the PDF viewer capabilities of Google Chrome are very basic. For example, there are no page or bookmark navigation functions, you can only scroll. Regardless, if all you find yourself using a PDF reader for is looking at your bank statements, this may be the ticket to finally get rid of a dedicated PDF reader program.

I dunno about you guys, but I don’t remember ever setting Chrome to be the default PDF reader, but it’s been doing it for a month or two now. I guess I didn’t think much of it, because that’s the way I prefer it to happen.
It’s the default from within Chrome now.
It seems to work fine. It’s definitely faster to load than the Adobe bloatware.
I am not telling that exactly because right now I don’t have remember it. But It’s the default from within chrome now.
