Conserve Printer Ink

Let’s face it, printer ink isn’t cheap and no matter how hard we try to conserve it, it seems to run out faster than ever before. Luckily, many printers have an econ-fast or draft settings which prints with slightly lower quality, but conserves the amount of ink used. Now, this might not be the most practical means of printing a school paper or photos from your family trip (as there is a noticeable drop in quality), but it’s perfect for printing off email back ups, notes, personal spread sheets, etc. To alter the setting of your printer when printing a document, follow these simple steps. (Note that not all printers will have these settings)

1) Click on File
2) Click on Print
3) Select Properties and allow a new menu to appear
4) Under the section titled Quality Settings, select Draft
5) Print away and conserve your valuable ink
