TaskBar Hider, a free utility which is available here, is a cool thing to have for those who want a little extra control over showing/hiding their Windows taskbar. Instead of the standard auto-hide method that most people use when they want their taskbar out of the way when not in use, TaskBar Hider can get rid of it with just a keystroke, and bring it back with the same keystroke – with no animations involved!
