Refresh rate is probably the #1 factor in flicker but there are a couple of others.A second very important factor that might cause flicker is a cheap cable. When I replaced the cheap SVGA cable that came with my new $450 24" Samsung (my laptop connection) with a decent Belkin SVGA cable the annoying 60 hrtz flicker magically went away. Also some people have 'faster eyes' than others maybe depending on how may carrots they've been eating (just kidding). But after excercising one might notice that ficker is more annoying than normal. I think dogs don't 'tune in' to what's on TV because they they have faster eyes and probably just see annoying flickering.Fred

Hi,

Just a few words on filcker that might help someone.
