If you are using the spell check function of an application and find that it always picks up words, acronyms, or abbreviations you constantly use, rather than clicking on ignore each time, add it to your dictionary. Usually this option is available inside of spell check dialogs or by right clicking on the “misspelled” word and selecting Add To Dictionary.
This feature especially comes in handy for browsers which offer spell check functionality. Because we often use shorthand when posting information on the Internet, adding these words to the dictionary prevents them from showing up as misspellings.
