Building on the topic of hidden shares which was posted yesterday, did you know that each Windows installation automatically has an administrative share to each logical drive? For example, if you are on a network with multiple Windows machines, if you are the system administrator you can access each computer’s drive by going to the following location:

\\[computer name]\c$ (for the C drive)

\\[computer name]\d$ (for the D drive)

Of course if your drive letters are different or you have more drives, you can just change the letters. Again, you must be an administrator to utilize these shares so rest assured your data is not wide open.
