Almost all of us have programs which we prefer to start automatically when we log into Windows. Common examples include email clients and monitoring utilities. However, having all these programs open immediately upon startup can significantly (depending on the number of programs) increase overall the startup process. To help remedy this situation, use WinPatrol’s delayed startup functionality (currently there is no documentation on the web site, so the link points to your ‘local’ installation if you have WinPatrol installed).
From WinPatrol’s help documentation on this feature:
There may be some programs which you do want to keep running but you don’t need to launch immediately on boot up. WinPatrol’s Delayed Startup allows you to specify the time to wait before launching programs which may typically run instantly when you boot slowing down the initialization of Windows.
This is actually quite a useful feature. I have Outlook set to open on startup on my work machine and this process can sometimes take a while. I have everything else delayed to start one minute later so Outlook (probably my most important application) can fully load before the other utilities.

Looks like you are linking to your machine, not an external website…
Thanks for that. I updated the tip.
This link doesn’t work: “WinPatrol’s delayed startup functionality” : file:///C:/Program%20Files/BillP%20Studios/WinPatrol/delay.html
Do you have another link.
Btw, do you know which is their last free version that allows users to delay startup programs?
