I have a ‘ghost’ account on FB, just because someone invited me some years ago.
Never really use it. Never put anything on it.
Have I lost any of my (real) friends because I don’t use it? No!
Have I missed any party? No!

FB was dead to me two years ago. Haven’t missed it and don’t care about it. Any family or friends who were on it are all off now. We like to be our own people and not the Facebook Sheep.

With all of Facebook’s negatives, it helps me to stay better connected to my 18 year old son and what is going on in his life, which far outweighs the negatives.

I deleted my facebook about 3 months ago so that I could do better in school. It has helped me so much with activities and school and everything in general. No longer and I under the spell of having to check my facebook every 10 seconds on my phone and laptop. It was very hard at first. I had to delete all my bookmarks of facebook and stay away from my phone as much as possible but after the second week the bind on me was broken and I have been free from it for a while now.
