Email Auto-Responder Warning

Posted Apr 25, 2007 by Jason Faulkner

Before you set your email client’s auto-responder feature, make sure you consider the following: When you have your email client automatically send reply emails, this will also send a response to spammers. As you probably know, this is bad because once your email address is confirmed, it will most likely be spammed more.

Some email clients have “smart” responders which will not respond to filtered spam messages, so be sure to take note before you enable the feature.
