Extensive Freeware Utilities List

I quite often post about free or open source software when I run the daily tips, but today I am going to pass along a site I can across which has an extensive list of freeware. The page is titled “The Best-ever Freeware Utilities” and offers a categorized listing of free software.

While I didn’t go through the list very thoroughly, I did see some programs I have written about in the past… and odds are I will probably write about some of these programs in the future as I come across them.

Enjoy.

I read your PCMECH tip for August 14 titled “Extensive Freeware Utilities List”. I’ve come across Gizmo’s website before. I’m not sure if you know this, but Gizmo’s website has joined with Windows Secrets website located at http://windowssecrets.com/ , you can see his photo and other information on that website. I agree, it is a great website, and his site joining forces with WindowsSecrets is certainly a site worth looking at.

It’s true that Gizmo merged his newsletter with Windows Secrets but his website http://www.techsupportalert.com that was mentioned in this post is totally separate.

P.S. The Windows Secrets website is hosted by Brian Livingston. Fred Langa’s website Langalist was combined with Windows Secrets I believe 1 or 2 years ago. Fred is now retired.
