Whenever you buy hardware or software which comes with a rebate, waste no time in filling it out and returning it. The printable rebate forms or tiny stickers can easily be buried on your desk, only to find them long after the offer period has expired, or worse yet, the required original packaging could be discarded prior to removing the UPC.
Considering it only takes about 5 minutes to cut out the UPC, copy your sales receipt and fill out a short form, you really have nothing to lose and $$ to gain. Even if the rebate seems sketchy or is from a less than reliable source (you know the ones which always seem to never receive your forms?), the reward is well worth the short time it takes to gather and mail the rebate information.
You might even have a rebate form on your desk now, so get it taken care of immediately!
