Finding Out What Graphics Card You Have In Windows 7 The Super Easy Way

The first question you have upon read of the title for this article is, “Why would I need to know this?” That’s an easy answer. Very few people actually remember what type of graphics card is in their system. In the instance where you need to (re)install video drivers, you need a quick way of getting this information without having to crack open the box to get it.

Windows 7 fortunately makes it very easy to get graphics card information quickly so you can get the right drivers, should you need them.

Step 1. Click the Windows Logo and search for “System Information”, then click the System Information listing under Programs:

Step 2. From the window that launches, go to Components > Display:

Step 3. Look to the right

Now you have the name you need to download the appropriate video drivers.
