I dont get the address name on the address bar when I open a new window. I only get ‘Search Bookmarks and History’. How do I get rid of this?

doesn’t seem to be a way to search bookmark annotations (description field) in ff3 though…

in ff2 there were add-ons for this but none seem to be compatible

As well as the start indicating that a site has an existing bookmark, it would be nice to know what folder the bookmark is in! When there are a hundred bookmark folders and thousands of bookmarks, it is sometimes hard to remember what the logical location would have been . .

If you’re searching for a bookmark, it’s much simpler to just type in the search box at the top of the bookmarks sidebar.

Dave,
Thats cool. But, how in the world do you get rid of the stuff that is left in there? I have done delete, gone into tools and deleted the address history. But, the bookmarks don’t seem to delete from the address bar. FF3 and their help sections says nothing about it. Any help or ideas?

Then you haven’t tried Opera. The “quick search” in the bookmarks panel (F4) is great and works in real time as well.
