If you view a lot of pictures online and have wanted to make the preview images larger (or smaller), then a Firefox add-on you might be interested in is the aptly named Image Zoom. From the author’s description:
Easily zoom in, zoom out, fit image to screen or set custom zoom on individual images within a web page. All this can be done by using the context menu or a combination of mouse buttons and scroll wheel. Handy to see the finer details of smaller pics or to make very large pics fit within your screen.
This can be useful for easily viewing online photo albums or online shopping without having to click into each image to see an enlarged view. Keep in mind, however, that you are only enlarging the image as is so if you blow it up too much then it might appear grainy (sorry, but no “enhance” functionality like they enjoy in the movies).

You can also flip images too, so no more straining your neck because people couldn't be bothered to orientate the photo properly. Been using this add on for years. Definitely recommended.
I too have used for years. First add on to Firefox after a new install.
