In a joint effort between Pure Digital (the company behind the Flip Video) and Cafepress, you will be able to buy your own Flip camera and customize the appearance to suit your tastes. In the press release sent to PCMech this morning, it says:

For no additional cost, the Flip Video personalization platform gives consumers unlimited options to create a Flip Mino to fit their individual personalities.  Users can choose from thousands of designs from artists, leading design firms, celebrities, and iconic brands, or they can easily upload their own image to create a one-of-a-kind camcorder.  Adding to the fun, Flip Video has built an exclusive design engine – the Pattern Generator – that makes it easy for anyone to make a truly unique device.  By partnering with CafePress, the leaders in user-generated commerce, over 6.5 million individual CafePress users have the ability to design Flip Mino camcorders to sell on www.cafepress.com or www.theflip.com, creating an unprecedented mass design community for Flip Mino. Consumers can add their creations to the open marketplace and earn commissions for each camcorder sold using their designs.  Users can also elect to have their designs earn commissions for non-profit causes.

Sure enough, when you go to Cafepress, you see a new category for Flip Camcorders. And they’ve got some creative designs up for sale already.

The pricing of the cameras seems to be heavily dependent on what is printed on it, however many of the designs are offered at normal retail price for the Flip Mino.

Webmasters know that Cafepress is also a place to have custom shirts designed so you can sell to your audience and make a little commission. I, myself, have used Cafepress in the past. Well, this announcements also means that you can design custom Flip Video designs and offer them for sale to your audience.
