A standout feature of the Garmin StreetPilot c580 is the transflective TFT touchscreen Transflective LCDs are used for displays to be used in direct sunlight. In low light (indoors) transflective displays use backlighting. In bright light (sunlight) they absorb the sun’s rays and utilize them to boost backlighting making the display legible and reducing power consumption.
