Get Notified of Microsoft Security Issues

Posted Oct 6, 2004 by David Risley

We all know that Microsoft has a reputation when it comes to security of its products. I’m sure some of that reputaiton is unearned and due to rumor and inexperienced users spreading rumors. Play the whisper game as a child and you know how it can work. But, still, many security issues plague Microsoft software, and anybody who has used Internet Explorer for some time has probably been affected by it. I recently converted most of my online activity to Mozilla Firefox due to IE being hijacked yet again.

Do you want to be notified of security issues with Microsoft’s products right when they are announced? You can, and its free. Go to:

http://register.microsoft.com/subscription/subscribeme.asp?ID=135

The bulletins come straight from Microsoft. It does cover all Microsoft products and you cannot limit it to only those which you have installed. Also, the bulletins tend to be rather technical.
