Get Vista, Office 2007 Or Other Microsoft Software For Free

Microsoft recently released a big announcement where you can get your choice of one of the following titles, completely free:

  • Windows Vista Ultimate (32-bit or 64-bit DVD)
  • Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007
  • Microsoft Money Plus Premium
  • Microsoft Student with Encarta Premium 2008
  • Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008

Of course there is a catch: you agree to let Microsoft monitor your usage of the chosen product for 3 months and commit to doing regular usage surveys. If you aren’t concerned with your online privacy, this is a great way to get a several hundred dollar software title for free.

    The offer for complimentary Microsoft products was removed from the program when the supply of gifts ran out on December 11, 2007 at 2 p.m. PT.

    I entered the tip into the queue when I read about it Tuesday (the 11th) afternoon. I had no idea it even ended until I saw an article (the one linked to above) this morning.

    The response to MS must have been incredible for the offer to last less than a day.
