Golden Orb How-to

Here is the bottom view with some heatsink compound applied. You do not need much of this. Take a small amount and spread it around the center until it is lightly covered, no excess! I just used my finger but if you prefer, you can use anything that will not scratch the surface.

OK after clipping my “Orb” to the processor, here is the final product. It is simple to install, but please, be careful not to “bend” your processor too much. Be gentle. As you can see in the center, under the fan sink, there are two shiny metal clips. Underneath, there are two metal “studs” (refer to previous picture) that fit into the processor. In this photo, take note at the bottom of the picture, that is the bottom of my processor and that is the ONLY way the orb will fit on. So when you are trying to fit your “Orb” onto your processor, make sure you have it turned the correct way. After that “insert” your clips, snap them into place, and you are ready to put your processor back in your PC.

Here is a before photo of my PC before I put the “Orb” and processor in place. Some should take note and ask before they buy if it will fit certain cases or motherboards!

OK, Here is the final step. Carefully move excess wires/cables out of your way. Then set your processor in place. Make sure it is snug and not in backwards. Reconnect your cables/loose wires. Double-check your processor/orb “fit” and your wires/cables. Turn on your PC and let “her” run.
