I used VIA’s hardware monitor to run my before and after tests. Here are the results:

As you can see, the green arrow shows my CPU temperature. This picture was taken 5 minutes after I started my PC, after the “Orb” installation. My ATHLON came with a thermometer and has come in handy with the VIA hardware monitor.

And here is an after pic, with my PC running for about 4 hours. Playing Quake3Arena online for two of those and writing this article. Not bad at all. Keeps it pretty cool and way within my operating temperatures. I do also have 2 other case fans. One standard and a “duct” fan blowing on my GeForce2 video card, which is right below my processor.
