The Steam Store has some darn good post-holiday game deals if you’re looking to get your game on for almost next to nothing. I bought the game Flatout for – get this – 75 cents. Yes, really. The game was a whopping 90% off, and it’s good. At the time I write this it’s at 80% off for $1.49. This is almost as good as when I bought Age of Empires III for 10 cents.
For each day of the rest of the holiday season, Steam will be featuring new games daily with deep discounts. No coupons required and no special codes are needed. If you see something you like, click and buy.
Discounts range from a minimum 25% off all the way up to 90% as evidenced by the Flatout title. It includes every type of genre you can possibly imagine. Racing, RPG, Strategy, Casual and more.
If where you go there you see nothing you like, just wait to see what games will be deep-discounted the next day. Chances are you’ll be able to score a title for really cheap that you’ll really like.
Important note for those not familiar with Steam: These are not boxed game titles. Games purchased through Steam are downloaded directly to your computer. Granted, they’re the same titles you see on store shelves, but this is software-download-only. And if you’re wondering, yes, you can "gift" games easily when making a Steam game title purchase. You will be asked on checkout whether you want the game for yourself or someone else.
