Google "de-evils" It’s TOS For Chrome

Posted Sep 5, 2008 | by Rich Menga

image Giving credit where credit is due, the GOOG updated their Terms of Service for the Chrome browser. Section 11 now reads:

11. Content license from you
11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services.

For those not aware, it previously stated something that literally said GOOG owns everything you do in the browser – but no longer.

Much better. :-)

Which Of These Traits Applies To YOUR Computing Life?...

This is good. Now I read somewhere that a rep from Google said that the original version was due to, in effect, copy and pasting parts of the TOS from other Google products. My next question is, what are those other products?

See Rich I told you that I trust Google and you all yelled at me. See “the Goog” isn’t THAT bad
