Between searching the Internet and the Earth, Google has found a new place to search for world dominance – your desktop. Specifically, Google Desktop Search allows you to index and search files, chat logs, emails, and even web history on your PC. You might ask yourself, “Doesn’t Windows already have such a feature?” The answer is yes, but Google’s tool is infinitely more powerful, faster, and intelligent. You can easily search for keywords through the documents that you have created, the emails that you have sent, and so forth. Sounds a little big brother-ish to you? Not to fear, Google means no harm. Or do they?
