Google Providing Free In-Flight Wireless To Travellers This Holiday Season

If you are taking a flight somewhere this upcoming holiday season, you don’t have to worry about how you are going to entertain yourself while in the air as Google Chrome’s team is providing free in-flight wireless access to domestic US flights:

This holiday season, Google Chrome has teamed up with AirTran Airways, Delta, and Virgin America to offer free Gogo Inflight Wi-Fi on every domestic flight from November 20, 2010 through January 2, 2011.

And yes, you can use any browser you want (although I expect the "start page" when you connect via the wireless access to promote Chrome). Regardless, this is a generous offer by the Google Chrome team which many of you may get to enjoy… just make sure your laptop battery is charged.

  1. Oh no, all these electronics are going to crash the plane! ;)

  2. This is good news to me since I’ll be on several flights this holiday season. I just hope my laptop battery doesn’t get drained too quickly.
