Google announced that their Sites service is now open to anyone who wants to use it.
According to what the big G says about it, it’s a thing where you can create a site (duh,) and have the ability to share it, collaborate it and so on and so forth.
So I tried it out.
This is the first thing I noticed:

Sites, site, sites? Jeez, could it say “site” enough times? And yes that is a real URL that appears once logged into the system.
After that I made a site. It’s exceedingly boring.
Then I quickly realized that without any social media interaction (not even Orkut – a Google product – will connect to it,) that Google Sites sucks. This is nothing more than a Geocities with some sharing options, but none that matter.
Could anyone find a legitimate use for this? I couldn’t.
