Google Street View Captures The Damndest Things

Posted Aug 13, 2008 | by David Risley

Google Street View has been the source of intrigue, controversy and, on the Internet, humor. The latest installation of the Street View soap opera is a picture of a drunk Aussie crashed and burned in his front yard.

Drunk Aussie on Google

According to the story on Daily Mail, this guy was sleeping in his lawn in a drunken stupor when the Google car drove by and captured him at his finest. Within days, the picture hit the Internet. The man calls himself simply “Bill” and says “I’m not too happy about it”, but he is not looking to pursue Google over the matter.

Street View has been in the U.S. for some time now, and Rich posted the coverage map for the U.S. in this post. However, Street View in Australia is new.

The motto of this story? Before doing anything embarrassing, make sure the Google car isn’t driving down your street.

What can I say mate!? We Aussies like our alcohol! LOL
Can’t say I’ve been so wrecked that I parked myself on the lawn and had a snooze after a heavy night drinking though… :)
