I have written in the past about how you should really consider registering the domain yourname.com. If for no other reason than you want to make sure nothing ‘questionable’ ever appears there. The same can be true for owning your (online alias/handle/screen name/whatever).com.
If you are member of several forums or online groups, you probably have a common name you use, so why not? Domain names are dirt cheap and this helps, again, insure the name you go by is on the Internet is ‘all yours’.
With a domain, you can easily redirect it to your MySpace, Facebook, personal blog or anything else with virtually no effort, so you can put it to good use very easily.
