Have Your Monitoring Programs Automatically Start Minimized

Posted Aug 22, 2008 | by Jason Faulkner

Many of you probably have a monitoring program or two automatically set to run whenever you login to Windows. In my case, I have have Process Explorer and Speedfan set to run at start up, via the Start Up folder in my Start Menu.

One thing I like to do is ensure when the program starts, it does so minimized. To do this, simply right click on the stortcut in the Start Up folder and select properties. Then change the ‘Run’ option to minimized and apply the changes. Since both of the programs I have set to do this offer the ability to minimize to the system tray, everything starts exactly how I want it to end up.

Which Of These Traits Applies To YOUR Computing Life?...
