If you ever wanted official notice that HD-DVD is dead as a doorknob, here’s your wake-up call:
Netflix announced it won’t be renting HD-DVDs.
Best Buy won’t be selling HD-DVD players.
Toshiba is going to kill off its HD-DVD players entirely.
And the big one..
After June, Wal-Mart won’t sell HD-DVD movies or players.
Like it or not, when Wal-Mart gives certain tech the axe, that means general consumers won’t have it available to them whatsoever and therefore will be completely ignored.
Blu-Ray wins.
If you have an HD-DVD player or any HD-DVD movies, I’d suggest selling all of it now.
