Help Keep Websites Free

Let’s face it, nobody likes ads on websites, but the tough love part of the necessary evil of ads is they are how websites sustain themselves. Ask any webmaster and they will be the first to tell you maintaining a site is hard work. You have to buy/develop new content, pay for hosting, bandwidth, hardware, and the list costs goes on.

So do your part and help your favorite sites by visiting their sponsors. Even if you simply click on a link when you are about to leave the site, it helps websites tremendously because this is where their income comes from. The absolute worst thing you can do for a free website is block their ads, because then you are stickily a cost to them. Now, I’m not saying click on every free iPod ad, but at least do your part ever now and then to contribute to the sites you like.
