Everything is then AOK for the original settings that I have put into the "windows" to have the four buttons and the scroll wheel remain as original settings. It's gotta be driver related, but why wont the computer remember on shut down?

What do I need to do, to tell this computer, running Xp,service pacII, to “REMEMBER” the button settings for a microsoft Trackball Explorer 1.0.??

It has worked Ok in the past, but every time I start up the machine, I have to click “start/my computer/mouse and then just press “OK”.
