There is a few other techniques out there to reduce the spam levels but if you ever made a mistake in the past you will always pay for it. The only method left is damage limitation through filters.Another method of putting a email address on a website is to have a picture. This method as been around for a while now but webmasters choose not to do to use them, the same as using "at" instead of @ and the JavaScript method. The main reason for this is it ticks off any user that want to email you. especially if your domain is hard to spell or long.I would say the JavaScript method would be the best if it does not inconvenience the user but it does not work if JavaScript is turned off in the browser.Nothing at the moment is bullet proof for what is considered normal use.

It’s surprising how they do it.
