If you use Google Chrome, you don’t need a Flash-blocking utility because the browser already comes with a feature called “Click To Play” that basically does the same job.
What does Click To Play do?
Anywhere there is Flash content on a web page, instead of seeing the Flash content you will see a gray box. When you hover over the box with your mouse pointer, the color will turn a lighter shade of gray and a text notice will appear stating, “Click to run Flash.” If you click, the Flash runs. If you don’t, it doesn’t. And yes it’s that simple.
For all intents and purposes, Click To Play does qualify as Flash blocking because any Flash content won’t run unless you specifically tell the browser to allow it.
How to enable Click To Play
Step 1. Wrench icon > Settings

Step 2. Show Advanced Settings
(NOTE: You will probably have to scroll down to see this before you can click it)

Step 3. Content Settings (under the Privacy header)

Step 4. Click to play (under heading Plug-ins)

Close content settings by scrolling back up and clicking the X, and Chrome will auto-save your settings. Close the Settings tab after that and you’re all set.
